We offer 2 types of facials at the moment. Our Cryo Facial and a Glycolic Chemical Peel.
What is a Cryo Facial?
A Cryo Facial uses our Cryoskin machine to do a facial. This facial lifts and tightens skin, helps rid you of wrinkles, stimulates collagen production, and can even help slim down the face by freezing fat cells.
Heat is used first to warm up the face and open the pores. Then the cold shocks the face and helps boost your collagen. Heat is added again to smooth out the skin, tighten it and leave your face with a beautiful glow.
The bonus is the serums used in the process. We have serums that contain things like:
- Vitamin C – Helps with brightening the skin and getting rid of dark spots
- Salicylic Acid – Helps with acne-prone skin and unclogs pores
- Hyaluronic Acid – Adds hydration to skin and helps smooth out wrinkles and lines
These serums can be added depending on your skin type and skincare goals.
What is a Chemical Peel?
There are many types of chemical peels but we use ours used glycolic acid which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).
It works by removing the dead skin off the top layer of skin also known as exfoliation. It also hydrates the skin, helps with dark spots, sun damage, and has many other anti-aging properties.
With the chemical peel you can also add serums at the end of the facial once the chemical peel is wiped off.
If you have sensitive skin or skin that is bruised or has sores, it is best not to get the chemical peel. I could cause more harm than good in these situations.
What is the facial process?
When you get a facial we will wash your face first using a gentle cleanser. We will then proceed with either facial treatment. Once the actual treatment is complete we will apply some more gel to your face with the bonus serum(s) and do a radio-frequency treatment that helps to get the serums down deep in the layers of your skin and stimulates lymphatic drainage. This is better than just placing a serum on your face with your hands. We will also add some sunscreen and moisturizer to your face before you leave to help protect your skin We also take before and after pictures so that you can see any improvements. The more you get the facials done, the more we will be able to look at pictures over time and see how much your skin has improved.
What should I do before and after my facial?
- Do not wear makeup, it can take a lot of effort to remove the makeup from your face.
- Let us know if you have skin sensitivity or if you have had issues with facials in the past.
- Drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet, your skin will be grateful.
- Try to abstain from touching your face
- Understand that you may burn a little from the chemical peel, your skin may peel a few days after, or you may notice your skin gets a little darker at first. These things happen less often than most people believe. Everyone thinks your skin will peel but most people do not, it just depends on the person.
